Dogs
Glacier Nordic Center No dogs are allowed at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course trails.
Big Mountain Nordic Trails Thank you for all your dog feedback last season. We have a hopeful solution for both the dog lovers and those who want dog-free corduroy. Just like last year, dogs must be ON a leash in the parking lot and Lookout Trail and across the Bridge. This is a requirement of the landowner, Winter Sports, Inc. The upper trails are now designated “Respectfully, no dogs please” . Let your dog run free on the single track Whitefish Trail and on the trails down Moosehoof and on all Stoltze lands (more than half the trails). Here is a visual. And a link.

Please, clean up after your dogs. Mutt mitts and a garbage can are conveniently located at the trail head.
And please educate hikers, snowshoers, and fat bikers on the Stay in Your Lane practice (take a look at our maps along the trail) and do not use the trails if it makes unsafe conditions for Nordic skiers (dog paw prints can do this too!).
Fat Bikes
Fat Bikes are not allowed on any of Glacier Nordic Club’s groomed trails at Whitefish Lake Golf Course or on the Big Mountain Nordic Trails on Winter Sports, Inc. land. Fat bikes are allowed on Stoltze land. Please use best practices by yielding to other users and not riding if your bike sinks into the snow more that 1″. Thank you for heeding this important notice.
